"Perhaps," Gladio says, and of course, he absolutely was following. But he's doing his best to stay calm here.

"Is this really the time to talk about this? People could walk by."

“An order and a sock on the door handle should do it,” Noctis said, tormenting Gladio a little bit because the younger male enjoyed it. He would proudly claim responsibility for any early white hair Gladio might get in the future.

“Well those are your two options. Think about it.”

Gladio snorted in amusement. In spite of himself, he found that amusing. But no, he didn't think that would work at all. No doubt Noctis was going to make him go gray. Maybe in response he should shave his head like his father did.

"Order then. But that's as much as I'm involved in sending them away."

“I meant you have two options for positions. Think about them. I’ll handle the guards,” Noctis said, shaking his head as they grew closer and closer to the throne room. There wasn’t a heavy guard presence because the king was out and the council wasn’t in that day. Honestly Noctis had planned this little bet and adventure pretty well.

Again he made an amused noise, remembering a movie that he'd once watched with the Prince. But quoting Fifth Element at someone was just never the way to get laid in his opinion.

"As you wish."

But quoting the Princess Bride was the better option? Noctis gave Gladio a look, a raised eyebrow, before looking back to where they were heading. It didn’t take them long to get to the throne room.

With an order in his ‘Prince voice’ Noctis sent the guards away saying that Gladio needed to double check security or something and they didn’t need the guards getting in the way.

Once they were inside, Noctis closed the large doors, and locked them. He turned to take in the large throne room where he would sit one day as King, Gladio would be on his council not as his Shield but a fellow Nobel.

"Come on, big guy."

Of course it was. It was all about a man saving the royal he loved and knowing that he'd be taking her back where she belonged. Well, untli you discover that the Prince is evil.

It's a long hall to the throne, though, and Gladio watches, his eyes darting around thoughtfully. Maybe one day they'd be able to do this without getting in trouble too.

"Surprised you want anything to do with the throne right now."

“Well what I want to do on the throne isn’t very princely, now is it?” Noctis pointed out as he headed for the throne, heading up the steps without hesitation. Gladio was right though. Noctis tended to avoid this room the most but he had gotten the idea of having sex on the throne when it wasn’t his throne and Noctis just couldn’t get it out of his head.

Well, Gladio had lost. Ain't much he could do about that. Gladio followed after the other, light on his feet up the stairs.

"You bring stuff, to keep this all clean?"

“Mmmmm no,” Noctis said with a shrug of a shoulder. He hadn’t thought that far. He had only thought of the exciting part and not what comes after it. “Don’t want to get the throne dirty?”

Of course not. Gladio sighed.

"No, not really. I'd really rather not get lectured for desecration of royal property."

“Little too late for that, isn’t it?” Noctis asked, smirking like a cat that had caught the canary. “Or do I need to remind you of all the things we’ve done together?” Noctis’ smirk just grew as he continued to climb the stairs.

"You're no one's property," Gladio corrected as he followed his prince. Once more into I imagined dangers. "So that's not a good point."

“I’m property of the throne,” Noctis corrected as they finally reached the throne. He paused in front of it, taking in what would be his seat one day. He frowned at that thought. “I’m property of the Lucis bloodline. I’m not a free person, Gladio. I don’t get to make my own choices.”

"The throne is a future property of yours," Gladio countered as he moved to lay his hand on Noctis's line. Please, don't do that.

"You're free, this is your choice."
